It’s important that schools and colleges in Harlow and across the country are energy efficient so they can provide the best possible learning environments for young people, minimise operating costs and reduce carbon emissions.
The Government is helping schools with their energy bills this Winter through:
✅ £500 million additional funding to help schools improve their energy efficiency
✅ Further funding for ‘quick upgrades’ to improve the energy efficiency of schools and colleges
✅ Practical help and advice to support schools and colleges to manage energy consumption
✅ Continued support with energy bills this Winter thanks to the Government’s Energy Relief Scheme
✅ School rebuilding programme to rebuild and modernise 500 schools
By providing additional funds, the Government is supporting our colleges and schools to become more energy efficient and helping them to save on bills and manage energy consumption.
Fantastic schools and colleges, like Harlow College, continue to play a crucial role in the Government’s ambitious skills agenda. I am pleased that college leaders will be able to decide what energy efficient upgrades are needed to focus on extending the ladder of opportunity for all in a safe and nurturing environment.
