As well as formerly serving as a Member of Parliament, Robert also held a number of posts influencing and shaping our educational landscape. This includes serving as the Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships, and Higher Education at the Department for Education between October 2022 and March 2024, the elected Chair of the House of Commons Education Select Committee between July 2017 and October 2022, and previously the Minister for Skills and Apprenticeships until 2017.
