Following the concerning rise in coronavirus cases in Harlow, Robert Halfon MP, had an urgent meeting with Essex's Public Health Director and Cllr John Spence, Essex County Council Cabinet Member for Health.
Commenting on the meeting, Mr Halfon said: "I’ve been working very hard with Essex County Council and public health officials to do what I can to help Harlow reduce our spike in coronavirus rates. This morning, in my latest meeting, we were told that in order to help tackle this rise, we will have an enhanced testing and trace programme and a mobile test site as soon as possible.
"As residents will know, we have now moved out of lockdown and into Tier Two but, in order to stay that way, we must now do what we can - by following the rules and remembering Hands, Face, Space. By doing so, we can help to curb the spike and ensure that further restrictions are not imposed.
"I wish every resident good health and every good wish at this time. We must do all we can to support our thriving shops, small business and charities across our town."
