Harlow's MP, Robert Halfon, has written to the Prime Minister and Chancellor ahead of the Spring Statement to call for fuel duty to be cut.
Please find attached the letter and a report in the Sun newspaper this morning. The Sun online has also reported on the story: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/17985171/rishi-sunak-fuel-duty-slash-tory-mps-demand/
Mr Halfon has for many years been the “long-time motorists champion” in Parliament. He is well known for his campaign to freeze fuel duty, which has resulted in a 12-year fuel duty freeze - saving the average Harlow motorist £15 every time they fill up.
But with record pump prices, Mr Halfon is calling on the Government to go further as his letter sets out.
