Remembrance Sunday
We must never forget the sacrifices made for our freedom and those who gave their lives to protect us. It was an honour to pay my respects at events to mark Armistice Day in Harlow and in Parliament and I would like to thank all of the service men and women in Harlow and everybody at the Harlow Branch of the Royal British Legion for their service and for their commitment to marking such an important day in our town.
This year, I was able to lay a memorial on behalf of the people of Harlow in the House of Commons Constituency Garden of Remembrance, join the local Air Cadets in the Harvey Centre to sell poppies on behalf of the Royal British Legion, and to take part in the Remembrance Sunday services at Netteswell Cross and Harlow Playhouse.
